Cookie Policy
What cookies and similar technologies hpt.group uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.
Last updated: 1 May 2026.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Cookies allow the site to recognise your device on subsequent visits and to function in ways that would otherwise not be possible (for example, remembering a preference). This page also covers similar technologies such as local storage, session storage and pixel tags, which serve equivalent purposes.
2. The cookie categories we use
When you first visit hpt.group you will see a cookie banner. From the banner you can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or open the preferences dialog to choose per category. You can change your preferences at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
2.1 Strictly necessary
These cookies and storage entries are required for the site to operate. They cannot be switched off. They include the entry that records your cookie-consent choice so we do not repeatedly ask, anti-CSRF tokens to protect form submissions, and the session marker that enables search and navigation overlays to function. No personal information is processed beyond what is necessary for the site to function.
2.2 Analytics
Loaded only after you opt in. We use one or both of the following privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how the site is used:
- Plausible Analytics: a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics product hosted in the EU. Plausible does not use persistent identifiers and does not collect personal information.
- Google Analytics 4: configured with IP anonymisation enabled and advertising features disabled. Loads only after consent. Cookie names typically include _ga, _ga_*, and _gid. Retention is set to the minimum (2 months for _gid, 14 months for _ga where used).
2.3 Marketing
We do not currently use marketing cookies. The cookie banner includes a marketing toggle for transparency and future flexibility; toggling it on has no effect today and your consent is recorded for the day it is granted.
3. Third parties
We embed scripts from a small number of trusted services. None of them are advertising networks. Specifically: Google Fonts (for typography, loaded with the “privacy- enhanced” mode); Plausible Analytics or Google Analytics 4 if you consent; Calendly.com when you choose to book a call (loaded only on click). Each third party processes information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
4. Controlling cookies
Your browser allows you to view, manage and delete cookies at any time. Most browsers accept cookies by default but can be configured to block them or to prompt before storing them. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the site. To delete cookies already stored, use your browser's privacy or history controls.
You can also revisit your consent at any time by clicking Cookie settings in the footer of this site. We re-prompt for consent at least every 12 months.
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no industry consensus on how to interpret this signal. We treat a Do Not Track signal as equivalent to declining analytics cookies and we do not load analytics scripts where the signal is set.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. The current version is dated at the top of the page. For questions write to privacy@hpt.group.
